Made to order vs stock production

Two ways to buy from the same factory. Which one is right depends on how you sell.

Made to order

You choose the style, fabric and quantity, approve a sample, and we produce. You get exactly what you specified, but you wait for production and sampling.

It suits new brands, new styles, and anyone who wants to control design. The trade-off is lead time.

Stock production

Agreed styles are produced in advance. When you need more, you call off from the stock instead of waiting for a new run.

It suits proven sellers where speed matters. The trade-off is that stock is committed before you know exactly what will sell.

Combining both

A common approach is to launch new styles made to order in small quantities, watch what sells, and move the winners into a stock programme.

This limits your risk on new styles while giving you fast restocking on proven ones.

Frequently asked questions

Which is cheaper?

Unit price depends on fabric, style and quantity, not on the model. Stock production can reduce your lead time and shipping frequency.

Can I switch between them?

Yes. Many customers start with made-to-order and add stock production for best sellers.
