Why minimums exist
Every style means cutting patterns, setting up the production line and often buying fabric in set quantities. Those costs are spread over the order, so very small runs cost proportionally more per piece.
Fabric is usually the main driver. Mills sell fabric in rolls and lots, and a minimum per colour is common.
What decides the number
Fabric minimum, style complexity, number of colours and sizes, and the label and packaging you need all affect the minimum.
Because of this, there is no single minimum for the whole range. We quote it per style and fabric.
Practical ways to stay small
Share a fabric across several styles. Limit colours on the first order. Use fewer sizes if your market allows. Choose stock fabrics where available.
Starting with made-to-order in small quantities and moving to stock production for best sellers is another way to limit risk.
Frequently asked questions
Is there a fixed MOQ?
No. It depends on style and fabric, and we state it in the quote.
Can I mix styles to reach a minimum?
Sometimes. If styles share a fabric, the fabric minimum can be reached together. Ask for options in your quote.
